TBE Membership

Temple Beth El is the center for Jewish life in Tacoma and Pierce County. We offer the Jewish community opportunities for community and connection, worship, education, and social action. We are devoted to the Jewish ideals of study, worship, and tikkun olam, repairing the world.

We engage in worship in multiple ways, including tradition, innovation, music, participation and teaching. Temple Beth El also hosts a vibrant and inclusive religious school and one of the city's most respected early learning centers.

We value diversity in our congregation and warmly welcome interfaith families, Jews-by-choice, Jews of color, singles, LGBTQIA+, and all members of the community. We are proud of how each of you brings your own story to our diverse community! Whether you have a multi-generational history at our congregation or are new to the city and Temple Beth El, we welcome you home.

Becoming a Member
Please fill out our membership application and email it to membership@tbetacoma.org. Membership is open to any Jewish person and their family (regardless of faith). We also ask that as a member, you contribute in meaningful ways to your community through taking part in Temple Beth El activities and by making an annual commitment.
 

Membership Application

Our annual commitment levels are based on TBE’s financial needs and congregational size. We recognize that these levels are not always feasible for everyone. We never want money to be a barrier to entry, so we ask that you give the amount that you are comfortable giving. We encourage you to give with a spirit of generosity.
