Thursday, October 24, 10:00 a.m. Join us at temple or online for our Sh'mini Atzeret/Simchat Torah service this this Thursday. You can watch online over Zoom, which you are welcome to join via clicking this link right before the beginning of service.
Friday: Erev Shabbat Service (Multi-access) Friday, October 18, 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to join us online or in person for an Erev Shabbat service. Join us before the service at 5:45 p.m. for an oneg.

Saturday: Torah Study and Shabbat Service (Multi-access) Saturday, October 19, 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Our Saturday worship experience begins with Torah study from 9:00–9:45 a.m. This will be followed by services beginning at 10:00 a.m. (online and in person). At the conclusion of the service, the community is invited to join us in the social hall for a potluck pescatarian kiddush luncheon!

Music of Remembrance: Peace Imagined Sunday, October 27, 5:00 p.m. MOR is presenting two pieces by Emmy nominee Milad Yousufi, a gifted young Afghan composer whose life as a refugee inspired messages of hope. Yousufi will discuss his creative process from the stage. The concert will also include works by composers murdered in the Holocaust, Erwin Schulhoff and Sándor Kuti, and a musical setting of Primo Levi's texts. Sisterhood’s First General Meeting of the Year Tuesday, October 29, 5:45 p.m. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. for a bit of schmoozing, followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. This event is open to anyone who identifies as a woman, and feel free to invite a friend! Come enjoy a middle eastern meal, a short business meeting, and Israeli dancing with Rabbi Gorban. Sisterhood looks forward to seeing you there!

Associated Ministries Annual Interfaith Celebration of Gratitude Tuesday, November 26, 6:00 p.m. AM’s annual Interfaith Celebration of Gratitude service is one of the most exciting and unique interfaith gatherings each year. For 36 years this service has brought together people of many faith traditions to inspire each other by being together in grateful community. Soliciting Interest in Speaker Training and Development If you are the adult grandchild of Shoah survivors (third-gen, a.k.a. 3G) and are interested in researching and telling your grandparent's story, this opportunity is for you. The national 3G organization Living Links is going to roll out their virtual Speaker Training program to affiliates like 3GPNW in the next few months. 3GPNW would love the opportunity to offer this in the Pacific Northwest to all 3Gs interested. They're currently gauging interest and creating a waitlist that they will notify with details once the program rolls out. If you would be interested in doing this training at some point in the next year or so, contact Gabrielle Plastrik at gabrielle.plastrik@gmail.com by November 1.
JFS: Help Refugee Families Keep Warm As the cold weather sets in, many resettled refugees are in need of warm clothing and gear suitable for Pacific Northwest winters, which can be too expensive for them to buy. You can help keep these families warm by contributing to the JFS Winter Warmth Drive! Consider purchasing and donating new cold-weather items from Jewish Family Service's Amazon Wishlist, which features options at various price points. You’ll find a variety of essentials like coats, gloves, socks, beanies, blankets, and more. The drive runs from October 28 to November 15.
