Saturday: Torah Study and Shabbat Service (Multi-access) Saturday, October 19, 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Our Saturday worship experience begins with Torah study from 9:00–9:45 a.m. This will be followed by services beginning at 10:00 a.m. (online and in person). At the conclusion of the service, the community is invited to join us in the social hall for a potluck pescatarian kiddush luncheon!

Divorce & Discovery: A Jewish Healing Retreat at BB Camp Thursday, October 17–Sunday, October 20 Join us for a transformative long weekend of Jewish healing, community building, and self-discovery at the beautiful BB Camp in the PNW! Simchat Torah and Consecration Dinner Wednesday, October 23, 5:00 p.m. Celebrate our new religious education students and welcome them to the wonderful, lifelong journey of Jewish learning. We'll begin with a festive meal, followed by Consecration and a service at 6:30 p.m. At the end of the service we'll unroll the Torah scroll and have our recent b-mitzvah chant their maftir portions. "A Tale of a Whale and Other Marine Mammals" Thursday, November 14, 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Join us at temple for an insightful talk about the Puget Sound's marine ecosystem, featuring Rus Higley, Director of Highline College's MaST Center Aquarium. He will discuss the troubling decline of our orca population, as well as educate us on common misconceptions about rescuing mammals on the beach. Additionally, Rus will share his experiences leading transformations of deceased whales into educational skeleton displays. With over 20 years of experience in marine biology and environmental science, Rus brings a wealth of knowledge to this important discussion! This is a free event sponsored by Lamed Vav. JFS: Help Refugee Families Keep Warm As the cold weather sets in, many resettled refugees are in need of warm clothing and gear suitable for Pacific Northwest winters, which can be too expensive for them to buy. You can help keep these families warm by contributing to the JFS Winter Warmth Drive! Consider purchasing and donating new cold-weather items from Jewish Family Service's Amazon Wishlist, which features options at various price points. You’ll find a variety of essentials like coats, gloves, socks, beanies, blankets, and more. The drive runs from October 28 to November 15.
