What's happening at TBE?
Friday: Erev Shabbat Service (Multi-access) Friday, August 23, 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to join us online or in person for an Erev Shabbat service. Join us at 5:45 p.m., before the service, for an oneg sponsored by the Raphael family in honor of the bat mitzvah of Lily Raphael.

Saturday: Torah Study, Shabbat Service and Bat Mitzvah of Lily Raphael (Multi-access) Saturday, August 24, 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Our Saturday worship experience begins with Torah study from 9:00–9:45 a.m. This will be followed by services and the bat mitzvah of Lily Raphael, beginning at 10:00 a.m. (online and in person). At the conclusion of the service, the community is invited to join the family in the social hall for a kiddush luncheon!
BBQ Bash for All Ages Sunday, August 25, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Bring your beach chairs, blankets, and favorite lawn games or toys and join us for a BBQ on the TBE lawn! We will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie options. The community is asked to bring a side dish or a dessert to share (dairy free). The event is free, but we do ask that you RSVP here so we know how much food to buy.
Ladies' Interfaith Tea Tuesday, August 27, 6:00–8:00 p.m. Please join us at St. Mark's Church by the Narrows for our monthly Ladies' Interfaith Tea! We will be discussing views of compassion in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Tea and light refreshments will be provided.Please register here. Questions? Jewish Coalition for Immigrant Justice Picnic Sunday, September 8, 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Join us in Picnic Shelter 2 at Gas Works Park for the Jewish Coalition for Immigrant Justice's 2nd annual picnic to come together in community. Learn more about how to deepen your engagement in advocacy over a bagel brunch and music. Our fall semester is beginning on September 8, and this is your chance to register before it's too late! Come study Judaism, Hebrew, the Talmud, antisemitism, Jewish news media, and more. Classes are held here at TBE or over Zoom, depending on the class. You can find more details about each class as well as its registration form through this directory on our website.
Auditions for Fiddler on the Roof If you’re interested in joining a play, this one’s for you! Melanie Gladstone will be directing a production of Fiddler on the Roof this winter and auditions are coming up. Auditions will be held during the evening on September 8, 9, and 10. Callbacks will be held on September 11. Everyone is invited to audition. All roles for this production are available to anyone regardless of appearance, age, race, gender, ability, or experience. Volunteers Needed for Oneg Setup & Cleanup Please sign up to volunteer for oneg setup, cleanup, or both! Note that you must have a food handler's license in order to prepare food during setup. TBE will reimburse you for the cost of the license ($10), and the training can be done online here. Sign up for setup or cleanup here!

Shir Simcha Choir Rehearsals are beginning, and you're invited! In preparation for High Holy Days, the Shir Simcha Choir will be meeting every Wednesday from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Please prepare to wear a mask during indoor practice due to community COVID-19 levels increasing.
