Music Of Rememberance: Remembering Kristallnacht (Online)
Thursday, November 9 – Friday, November 10
People around the world remember the pogrom of November 9, 1938 as Kristallnacht, the “Night of Broken Glass.” That night's organized anti-Jewish assault was a turning point in the Third Reich's escalating violence that culminated in the Holocaust. Those tragic events resonate strongly in today's world. To mark the anniversary of Kristallnacht, and with fervent hopes for peace, Music of Rememberance is making a special program, Songs from Terezín, available for free online viewing from Thursday, November 9 through Friday, November 10. You'll be inspired by this short program of songs by courageous people who dared to assert their dignity even in the most dire of circumstances. You can view the program here.
