Saturday: Torah Study, Shabbat Service (Multi-access) Saturday, August 5, 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Our Saturday worship experience begins with Torah Study from 9:00–9:45 a.m. All are invited! Reminder: We are doing potluck lunches after services on Saturday. Join us, and bring a dish to share! Dishes can be pescatarian (dairy and fish allowed).
BETY: Dinner and General Meeting (In-person) Wednesday, August 9, 4:00–6:00 p.m.
Join BETY, our temple youth group, as we begin our event planning. Enjoy dinner with your tribe and have fun! With a foundation in the values of Reform Judaism, we work together to produce programs for Jewish youth. Ages 11–18 welcome. Questions? Contact Madeline at madi@tbetacoma.org.

Shabbark Shalom! We invite you and your pets to join us for an evening Shabbat service featuring a special pet blessing. The service will be held outside. TBE’s Green Team/Dayenu Climate Change Circle Kick Off (In-person) Wednesday, August 16, 6:00–7:10 p.m.
All are welcome to join us in the TBE social hall to meet your Green Team. Let's reimagine our green spaces and look at some more sustainable lawn alternatives. Snack on popcorn while we watch a short video on grass alternatives, and meet with Pierce County Conservation District landscape designers. We’ll have art supplies for the little ones. Community Harvest Day Sunday, August 27, 12:00–4:00 p.m.
The community is invited to a Community Harvest Day at Curran Apple Orchard where you are welcome to pick apples from untapped trees. Please bring picking bags from home and limit yourself to two bags to leave enough
apples for everyone to enjoy. The Community Harvest Day is an opportunity for people to come and enjoy the park. TBE will be there from 12:00–4:00 p.m. with a picnic area where we will explain the connection between apples and Rosh HaShanah for those who come. We are actively looking for volunteers to help greet the community during temple events and provide our first line of security at our front door. We are also looking for volunteers to help our staff prepare onegs on Friday nights! Call the temple at (253) 564-7101 to learn more about volunteering opportunities!
High Holiday Food Drive Our annual High Holiday Food Drive is coming up! Check out the August bulletin for full information on this year's campaign. Want to give us a head start? Kick off the food drive by making a donation to Emergency Food Network. And, if you have gently used paper bags in your house that you'd like to contribute for the collection of items, please drop them off at temple no later than August 31.
If you attend Saturday services online and wish to purchase your own copy of the Mishkan T'filah (the prayer book used at our Shabbat services), the Judaica Shop has them in stock!
