Instructor: Rabbi Emeritus Bruce Kadden

Description: We will continue our study of tractate Avodah Zarah, whose broad theme is idolatry, but much of the discussion focuses on relationships with non-Jews, including whether a Jew may entrust one's life to non-Jewish professionals such as doctors or midwives. We closely read the English version of the text, but often refer to the Aramaic/Hebrew. All are welcome to join the class (even if you have not studied Talmud before).

Textbook: Koren Talmud Bavli, NoĆ© Edition, Vol 32: Avoda Zara Horayot, Hebrew/English
