Description: Antisemitism is frequently referred to as "the world's oldest hatred," and a quick look at the mainstream media just since the events of October 7th shows that vicious prejudice remains in our world. The history of the hatred of the Jewish People spans millennia, spans continents, crosses religions, crosses ethnicities, and remains even in the face of all evidence. This class aims to address a few of the ideas behind antisemitism that persist into the present day, including the charge of deicide, the blood libel, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and the ideas of Judeo-Bolshevism and Judeo-Capitalism. As Jews, these ideas are draped on us against our will by other peoples and without cause by anything we actually did—but as their victims, we should know these ideas and be able to recognize them for the lies they are.
